Bishop William Lori - The Excitement Builds as the K of C Family Celebrates its 125 Years
I´ve been here since Friday and have watched the excitement build as the Knights of Columbus family gathers from many parts of the world for its historic 125th Annual Convention. As I meet old friends and new, I am reminded that Father McGivney´s legacy lives on, especially in the strong faith and active charity of our members. The much-anticipated presence of the Cardinal Secretary of State is also a wonderful confirmation of our mission in the Church and in the world. May these days be a time when we open our hearts more widely to Christ and affirm our "yes" to all he teaches us and does for us through the Church! God bless you and keep you in his love.

Worthy Supreme Chaplain, I feel that your comments about mens spirituality is sorely needed. The Knights of Columbus has always been in the forefront for the spiritual needs of men and will continue to do so. However, we need to push this agenda even more today. Younger men are dropping out of the Church in great numbers. They see the Church as a feminine institution and I feel rightly so in many cases. The Knights appear to be the only organization which addresses mens unique needs in todays society. This message needs to be addressed more and I appreciate Bishop Lori's comments. Vivat Jesus

J.M.J. WOULD YOU PRAY FOR THE K OF C TO BE MORE 'VISIBLE' AT THE PRAYER VIGILS AT ABORTION MILLS. I participate in prayer vigils in Canada and the U.S. AND the presence of the Knights would GREATLY enhance the cause!! I hear that the Knights are very concerned about the high numbers of the unborn being 'murdered' Low numbers of support is a concern!

Other than being a little warm here in Nashville, this year's 125th Supreme Convention is exciting and well attended as usual. The Mississippi Jurisdiction is honored to have 3 of our Bishops in attendence. Tomorrow mornong's Memorial Mass will honor our departed brothers. Best to all.

Great Job with the convention, being on EWTN is great for us. The first step on every catholic man being a Knight.
