The Lord be with you.
We gather tonight to give thanks to God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us and to celebrate the many achievements of the Knights of Columbus.
We join together at this Supreme Convention to renew our commitment to give witness to our Catholic faith, to the Gospel Life ,to God’s plan that marriage be the sacred union of one man and one woman, to family life as the foundation of our society.
We give thanks for the spiritual and pastoral leadership of His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI. We pray that Holy Father’s message that Christ is our Hope will continue to be a source of strength and encouragement for all Catholics and help us to work together with people of good will throughout our country.
In thanking God for this time together with fellow Knights, family and friends we ask the Lord to bless our meal, all those who prepared and serve for us, and to help us always be mindful of the needs of those who go without, as together we pray, Bless us O Lord…
