Voting is a right and responsibility of every citizen. Although the opportunity to help determine how a town or a nation will be governed should be viewed as a privilege, people often look at voting as a chore and of little consequence. This is an attitude we must combat.
All governments – local, state and provincial, and national – should be protectors of our freedoms. They can be and will be just that if thoughtful citizens elect good people to public office.
Remember: Knights of Columbus councils, assemblies and circles must never endorse a political candidate.
