Membership Madness - Brackets

Jurisdictions in our Order are going head-to-head in a friendly competition as part of the Order's Membership Madness competition. This is an intake based challenge between similar sized jurisdictions. The main focus is to challenge each state to compete against the other jurisdictions in its particular bracket for the highest intake percentage based on the state council's fraternal year intake goal.

The final round has begun and some jurisdictions have taken an early lead.  Will you be the one holding the prize at the end?

Round 3B consists of the following jurisdictions:  Luzon, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Ontario, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Washington, Kentucky, Mexico South, Alabama, Mexico Central, Poland, Saskatchewan, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming and Mexico Northwest.

World Day of Prayer for Vocations

Sunday,  May 3, is the Annual World Day of Prayer for Vocations. This day is an opportunity for all Knights to raise awareness of the need for youth to say yes to their vocations, especially if one is called to the priesthood or religious life. With the help of the Knights of Columbus, thousands will hear their calls as a result of our prayers and vocational materials. As Knights, we know the difference that one good priest can make. Raise awareness and get involved. Participate in the World Day of Prayer for Vocations.

Membership Blitz

A coordinated membership Recruitment Blitz is an all-out effort to maximize your membership teams' efforts by canvassing an entire parish on one weekend, gathering the names of prospective new members for follow-up.

Knights of Columbus Essay Contest

The Order encourages all councils and assemblies to sponsor the Knights of Columbus Essay Contest at schools in their communities. The essay contest is a creative way to encourage young people to become citizens who are firmly grounded in the Faith.

Membership Growth

Recruiting new members is essential to the continued growth and well-being of your council and the Order. Offering a man membership in the Knights of Columbus gives him the opportunity to improve his own life and his community. Membership allows him to experience the fraternal bond that Knights share while growing closer to his family and faith.

Our past issues of Chaplain’s Report have generated some positive reactions from its audience. A number of chaplains have either called or written letting us know that they have implemented some of the ideas publicized in the newsletter — especially regarding the emphasis on spiritual development through programs conducted during council meetings — and that they are happy with the results.
