How to Incorporate K of C Feeds into Your Web Site

Get Knights of Columbus Feeds for Your Web Site

You can make Knights of Columbus RSS feeds directly available from your council or assembly Web site to your members, their families and friends, or anyone else who might be interested.

Adding a Knights of Columbus News Feed to Your Web Page

To download Knights of Columbus feeds automatically, use a news aggregator. There are many free aggregators available such as Google ReaderiTunes or Feedburner.

One way to embed a feed to your Web site is to use the Embed with: SpringWidgets link offered through each of our feeds.

For, example, if you wish to embed our News Releases feed on your Web site, the Embed with: SpringWidgets link takes you to this page.

In the left column are fields for selecting sizes, colors and other variables. The url for the feed is preselected. Once you choose the size, border color and blurb length you wish to display on your site, click on the Click Here to Get the Code button.

You’ll see that the RSS Widget face in the middle column changes to something that looks like a calculator. It’s labeled Share this Widget.

Select the HTML button in the top middle row. The HTML code you will need will appear in the middle window.

Select Copy this Code and paste the code into your Web page.

If the aggregator you choose asks for a Web address (url) for one of our  RSS feeds, select it for the list below:
