Gabriel and John Vianney Council 12335 in Colorado Springs built the fountain in memory of Knight Bob Hunter, who served as a deacon at the parish and passed away in 2007.

Fourth Degree Knights provide an honor guard at a Mass honoring Servant of God Father Vincent Capodanno Sept. 3 at the Crypt Church of the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. More than 40 Knights from area councils attended the Mass, which was sponsored by Catholics in the Military. Fire and police personnel from Pembroke Pines and Miramar received a blessing from Father Hector A. Perez at a Sept. 11 memorial Mass hosted by Fire Chaplain Mychal Judge, FDNY Assembly. Knights invited area first responders to the Mass in recognition of their service to the community.

Father James A. Hopkins Assembly in Rome donated two new U.S. flags to St. Mary's School. One of the flags was used immediately at the school's "Prayer at the Pole" ceremony the following day.

Members of St. Michael the Archangel Assembly in Kailua-Kona stand with a relic of St. Damien on Molokai at a public veneration event Oct. 18. Knights provided an honor guard throughout the relic's visit, including at Mass times and at times of public veneration. Pope Benedict XVI canonized Father Damien Oct. 11.

Charles A. Gerber Council 6248 in Carpentersville donated $400 to the Waterleaf Women's Center in Aurora, coordinated the purchase of supplies and painted the new facility before it opened. El Cardunal Assembly in Elgin provided an honor guard at the dedication of the facility, which is located in close proximity to a Planned Parenthood clinic.

Msgr. Paul J. Richard Assembly in Marrero and Father T. J. Larkin Assembly in Gretna provided an honor guard for Archbishop Gregory M. Aymond of New Orleans at a Mass Sept. 22. Archbishop Aymond, who was installed Aug. 20, is a member of St. Mary Cathedral Council 14055 in Austin, Texas.

Senator Blas F. Ople Assembly in Calumpit provided an honor guard for the feast of St. Lorenzo Ruiz Sept. 28.
Senator Lorenzo Assembly in Antipolo City provided an honor guard for the installation of Father Joel F. Francisco as the new pastor of Transfiguration of Christ Church.
In honor of the Year for Priests initiated by Pope Benedict XVI, Presentation of the Child Jesus Council 8565 in Paranaque hosted an appreciation night in honor of Bishop Jesse E. Mercado of Paranaque and all area priests.

Father Andrew White Assembly in Ridge provided an honor guard for Auxiliary Bishop Barry C. Knestout of Washington, D.C., as he blessed boats and attendees at the area's annual blessing of the fleet. The bishop and Knights boarded a working replica of HMS Dove, which carried them to St. Clements Island, site of the first Mass in Maryland, celebrated by Father White in 1634. Bishop Knestout is a member of Father Rosensteel Council 2169 in Silver Spring.

Holy Spirit Assembly in Simpsonville donated 100 Catholic prayer books to the Catholic chaplain, Father Edward J. Kelly, at Fort Jackson in Columbia. The books will be distributed to Catholic soldiers as they process through Fort Jackson to military posts throughout the world.

Members of Christopher Columbus Assembly in Plano serve food to veterans from the Bonham VA Medical Center. Knights served hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and dessert to hospital patients and staff, and hosted a raffle for all those in attendance.
